Hi can anyone please help me ID this and any suggestions to get rid of it! Never seen it in the garden before and now in the space of a few weeks it’s taken over the lawn and is even coming up in cracks in the paving - need to sort it fast! thanks in advance
I agree with DampGardenMan - sycamore seedlings. If you get your mower on that grass and you decapitate them all that is an easy way to deal with them in your lawn. Any odd one that's missed by the mower can be tweaked out as DGM suggests.

That’s great thanks everyone! There is a big sycamore very close so that adds up! Didn’t know they could be quite so prolific on a lawn! Will mow and keep an eye. Thanks for your help

Pull them out before they get chance to establish, especially the ones in the paving cracks.
