Haven’t been on for a while (too much ‘real life’ getting in the way!).

Been out a bit over the last few weeks to tidy up, move things around, try to keep on top of weeds (welsh poppies everywhere...!).

I noticed this little fella and wondered if it’s something to worry about / to not worry about?  I’m talking about the rounded leaf plant 😉.

Thanks Dove (as always), think I’ll need to remove that one.

It ain't easy to remove celandine as it makes lots of little bulbs (hence common name of Pilewort!) which are all but impossible to remove completely, though I suppose you can slow it down. I don't find it annoying - it comes up, makes a nice carpet of yellow flowers and then goes away until next year. In fact I've been planting it around the garden, especially the bronze form 'Brazen Hussy'.

I was thinking about you just yesterday @Andy Leeds. There was a chap starting a garden from scratch and it reminded me of your mammoth effort. How's it looking a year on?

HAha PP, not looking great at the mo’, the only colour in the garden atm are the tulips that have just opened a couple of days back.  Maybe I’ll post some pics when it looks better 😀.

Kinda honoured that that someone was thinking of me!

I can hardly remember what I had for lunch but I do remember your garden. It was lovely.

I've got Brazen Hussy here in the Wilderness behind the pond ... love her ... and she's not quite as much of a spreader as her 'less brazen' sister :)

Thinking back to our previous garden, you're right, BH doesn't run around as much as the bog-standard variety. We do need to fill space in our new garden, but I shall continue to plant her as the leaves are so good.
  • Get rid while you can!

They are spreading our of our hedges and have covered much of the grass areas; when the celandines die back we now have large bare patches where nothing else will grow.  Impossible to get rid of now.
