Rheum palmatum

The hunt for large-leaved (non-invasive) waterside plants continues. Does anybody grow Rheum palmatum in a wet soil? How well does it handle the wet? How hardy does it seem?

I have grown R.palmatum Ace of Hearts for about 5 years in my bog garden. It has done well and I love it.
How can you lie there and think of England

Excellent, good news, we're definitely boggy! I may have to invest in a couple and see how they do for us. I was thinking of 'Atrosanguineum' for the leaf colour, but I read that they don't always come back reliably colour-wise?
