Leaf scorch or something worse?

Seeing as you put my mind at ease with my dying lower leaves, I bring you another concern with one of my tomato plants, and one of my cayenne peppers but i don't have a picture of that one to hand.
One leaf has got some a few white spots which look a bit out of place with all the green around them. After doing some googling all that seems to come up is powdery mildew but it isn't powdery could it just be that they have been scorched with all this beautiful sunshine that we have been having for the past few days?
