A plant ID, please!

Afternoon all!

Hope everybody is enjoying the weather! Spring has finally sprung in my garden and I’ve noticed a couple of these plants in my flower bed. Can anyone help me ID please? I have a vague feeling I planted them last year...

Looks to me like an anemone, but not sure which type, sorry.

That’s it! I don’t know the type either but when you said anenome I suddenly remembered where they came from - my colleague who gives me all of her spare bulbs and plants! So I know who to ask to find out.

    Thanks both!

I think they are Anemone Coronaria.

Anemone Blanda I think.  They can also be blue

Don't think it's A. blanda ... they have more and much narrower petals  ... I'll go with A. coronaria.

I have these. I love them.   They can be blue pink white and red. They cut well too.

    definitely not A. blanda
the most commonly sold ones are the De Caen hybrids of Anemone coronaria. I always look to the most likely first

    Hi everyone!

Ive just got in touch with my bulb pusher and it’s anenome coronaria “The Bride”. Thanks all for the input - it wasn’t until someone ID’d as an anenome that I knew where to ask 😛
