Does anyone know what this plant is? Is it a common weed?

    My Feverfew doesn't get as tall as that Pete but yours looks like a double garden variety so may be taller

    @Pete8 that one might be the cultivated double form ... I've never seen the ordinary one get that tall.   :)

    Thanks Dove - nut said the same.
    They pop up all over the place and are often useful fillers - I really like them especially as they need no attention or care whatsoever - that's my kinda plant!

    I have Feverfew with golden leaves at this time of year but they don't last, can't tell them from the standard ones later

    It looks a bit like Filipendula Vulgaris, Dropwort, but the stems are very thick and base looks sparse.

    I think the stem looks a little too 'woody' for Dropwort ... :/
