Sprinklers

Dont know if I’m panicking but with this hot spell, is watering containers, seed pots, and beds in the morning enough?

Im thinking of buying a sprinkler I can attach to the hose to cover the back lawn and beds.

B&Q seem to have £10-15 jobs that might do it....

    What hot spell? 😦

    I've never used a sprinkler, plenty of rain around here 😆. 
    If you're anticipating a long dry sunny spell, maybe a perforated soaker hose might be better.
    Watering the soil is better than wetting the leaves (which could get scorched in strong sunshine).

    It’s “baking hot” in London, around 22°C.  Won’t last more than a few days though.

    22C is not a lot.   The soil will be wet underneath.  Leave it alone but do water plants in pots as they have no ground reserve.
