What is this?

hi all, can anyone tell me what this is growing along my wall please? Noticed it day or so ago, only been in the house 6 months so not been in the garden much. Started digging it up today before deciding I should probably identify it first to make sure I’m getting rid of it properly. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply. Do you think? Should I have left it then? I was thinking it was something more invasive like ground elder, hence the panicky removal!!

    You could always move some of it to a more suitable position ; nice plant to have in your garden .

    I feel terrible for ripping it up now!! Lesson learned, check first. I’ll try to salvage some and re-home it. Thanks for much for the replies!
