What plant is this please?

Hi

Can anyone identify this plant for me? I’m hoping it’s not a weed but thought I noticed a lot of the same leaves in a hedgerow near my house.

    It’s cow parsley (or possibly wild carrot) A weed for some, desirable umbellifers for others. I love them

    Us too! There's a purple-leaved form, 'Ravenswing', which looks even better, though it needs full sun to keep its colour.

    I’ve got a couple of ravenswing, but I love the native ones as much, few finer sights than a woodland full of them bobbing in the wind

    A customer gave me some seeds of (in my opinion) one of the best umbellifers around :- Smyrnium olusatrum (Alexanders) . Its glistening foliage and nodding yellowish heads are superb .

    We've got wild angelica (Angelica sylvestris) growing everywhere in our new garden and we rather like that, especially when the umbels are just coming out of the pods.

    Do they come easily from seed? Might try some if so!
