Any ideas please? It's just about to flower and both stalks and leaves are hairy.

I think it's one of the low-growing forms of comfrey.

Thanks Bob. We looked at comfrey on t'interweb yesterday and couldn't find anything at the same stage so it looks like we'll just have to wait till it flowers properly. The wee buds look as if they are sitting in a nest and comfrey is a strong contender.

Any further offerings or are we sticking with comfrey?  :)

Can't be sure at the moment, but they look like a type of Forget-me-not.

It'll be easier when the flowers open - not long to wait by the look of it. :)

It's definitely hairy enough to be campion.
