Begonia plugs dying and gone mouldy

help please. I potted these begonia plugs 2 weeks ago in new soil and pots. Placed on bedroom windowsill and grey mould has grown and they are dying. What have I done wrong?

    It looks like maybe overwatering.

If weather is warm get them in the Sun for a few hours let the air around them. I water all plugs and small plants in pots from below in a tray should be fine let them dry out a bit.
  • Mine have done the same. They got too wet so I picked off all the rotting / mouldy ones and I've repotted them in egg cartons as I thought this would help dry them out. They seem much happier now.

Don't worry about the top of soil. It's over watered as suggested. Prick the top of the soil with a pin in a few areas and only water from below. Keep in an area with good air flow. Even allow it a few hours outside if not raining to help dry out the soil.
