Tips and trick on planting store bought oriental lilly plants
Helloy fellow gardners
I ended up picking up a mixed collection of oriental lillies from BnQ on offer today and looking for specific advice from others who have experience growing these? I am planning on planting them out in the borders soon which has full sun all most of the day. Only worry is what specific compost to use and what feed? I got a box of fish bone blood and also tomatoe fertilizer...is that enough? Any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated. I am down south, near guildford and windsor area.
Thanks

Lillies , Orintal or Asiatic are greedy feeders. When you plant them out ensure you put plenty of compost and grit in the planting mix as they require well drained soil. Bonemeal in the planting mix will be fine as its good for root structure and provide a good balanced feed. They will also enjoy a tomato feed every 2 weeks as this will improve flowering. A full sun aspect will be fine aswell.
Hope they produce lovely colour
