Is this Verbena??

Ok so I’m like a broken Record at the moment with my” what is it” posts...

I planted some Verbena seeds, first lot nothing happened so I planted more.

These 4 grew and I have thinned them out into a different container.   There we’re no other ‘weeds’ growing in the other containers (which I used exactly the same soil) and I’ve been had these grow.. but not exactly in the line I planted the verbena seeds.. 

Has anyone planted Verbena from seed to tell me if they look like it or not? 

They are one of my favourites and have been excited to have some in the garden.  But don’t want to plant weeds haha

    You don't need to worry, those are indeed verbena seedlings. :)
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Going to resurrect this thread with the same query. Sowed some verbena seeds, the seedlings looked normal (I’ve grown verbena before) but we were going away for a few weeks so I planted the seedlings out in the veg beds in April so they wouldn’t dry out when we were away. They now look like this - flat rosettes of very large leaves - is this normal? Leaves are about 8cm x 5 cm at the biggest

    Definitely not verbena. A mustard or something.
    If you planted verbena seedlings outside in April, they're unlikely to have survived. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    It looks a bit like the verbascum  I'm trying to grow.

    I just had a look at my verbascum - it does look very similar

    @Pete.8's saying the same, so you're probably fine. I don't grow them so I always forget what they look like  ;)
