Arisarum proboscideum
Does anyone else on the forum grow this almost amusing little aroid ?
With leaves only reaching around 6" high , this unassuming little plant slowly spreads in sun or shade , wet or dry on any soil .My plant grows on a dryish low wall .
The alpine specialist Anna N.Griffith describes the flowers eminently in her book as " a small green arum-like spathe , terminating in a long curved tail giving the appearance of a colony of small mice disappearing into the leaves" .
Oh well , thought you'd all like to know that !!

It takes a winter flooding but I don't know if it would want permanent wet
In the sticks near Peterborough
Like with Hellebores , lying prostrate on the ground is a necessity to appreciate the flowers !
