Plant ID

I'd be grateful if someone could help me ID the below plants . When they first started to come up I assumed they were spring flowering bulbs there's but no sign of any flowers. Not sure if any of the 3 frost (?) damaged plants or the healthy one just behind them in the first pic are the same as the one in the second pic.

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

My guess would be Spanish bluebells, but l am by no means 100% sure, sorry.

In which case, they probably would be flowering yet, though you might see small flower stems starting.

Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica) ; to double check , dig up a bulb .
If pure white , then definitely is !
Best contained in a pot or disposed of by thorough digging up unless you want them to colonise your garden .
  • Thanks for the replies.

I had another look this morning and all the plants have flower stems emerging from the base. It seems like there might be two types of plants judging by the leaves so maybe there are English as well as Spanish bluebells? Guess I'll have to dig them up to find out like Paul said.

Leaves and flowers emerging still look like Spanish Bluebells.
Do as Paul B3 suggests and dig one up.

English bluebells have fairly narrow leaves, quite different to the strap-like leaves of the Spanish ones.

Spanish bluebells, I have some pink and white ones in the garden, I know they shouldn’t be there but I do like them.

With DampGardenMan there ; our native bluebell is a more 'refined' species with much narrower leaves .
Quite unlike the 'bullish' and invasive nature of the above .
  • I saw some English bluebells in a garden centre yesterday and, like you were saying, they look nothing like the bluebells coming up in my garden.

I only moved here recently so I'm still getting to know the plants- there's a lot more below I'd like to identify if anyone can help; not sure if any are weeds....
