Pretty sure I haven’t planted a lupin. I don’t remember buying any. And there’s a few coming up. But can’t think what else looks similar? Can anyone help?
It looks like one yes. Probably got there in some soil from pots, or lying dormant in the soil then you dig over the area and it gets to the top and germinates. Might be a nice one.
Yep lupin. They self seed pretty easily, and can come in in bird droppings as the seeds are pretty tough and take a while for the outer shell to break down
My mother in law gave me a bucket of plants that she had dug up for me thinking they were bluebells.....I planted them all and a bud appeared, turns out they might be nuns cap orchids. (I think anyway, not long to find out if I’m right!) Win win!
