Sweet Box/sarcococca not doing well, but why?

  I usually notice the smell some distance from the plant. It's as if it 'pools' elsewhere.

  In December/January mine has a very heady scent for several yards. It reminds me of rapeseed flowers though so isn't to everyone's taste.
