Canary Island Palm woes

Sarah248Sarah248 Posts: 44
My poor, poor 60cm container grown Phoenix canariensis survived happily outside all winter but has been savaged by the late snow and cold in March. All of its fronds are brown and crispy although the centre spines are still green; it looks like the new central growth spear is brown too. Should I cut it back completely in the hope of new fresh growth or give it up as a bad job and start again with a new plant?

Many thanks.

Mine was out all winter too  and is also looking peaky but I'm leaving mine to see what it does . Can't do any harm to leave it for a month or so.
    Devon.
