Moving young apple tree - okay to do it now?

    If you can get it up with a good sized root ball I'd do it ... the soil is damp and warming up so perfect for the encouragement of new roots. Just keep a close eye on it this year and don't let it suffer in any dry spells this summer.

    By the way, when you dig if out slide if onto a black bin bag and drag if to the new site ... that will help prevent the soil falling away from the roots.
