Am I missing something? - growing delphiniums from seed

    Great thanks for that!  I’ve tried multiple times and no luck. I’ll try again in autum. I bought some plants so hopefully i can collect the seeds this year and grow more ready for next year!

    also thanks for that, I did put the seeds in the fridge for about three weeks before putting them in the seed trays but no signs yet. Will try again in the autumn.

    It’s easy, just try to replicate nature.

    Carly, it is not enough to place the seeds in the fridge, they must be in a moist medium. Since (commercial) delphinium seeds are not that big, I don't usually use the papel tower method (moistened and folded with the seeds inside, placed inside a well-shut plastic bag and then in the fridge), I prefer scattering them on the surface of a small pot filled with (very) fluffy compost, cover with plastic, and its way to the refrigerator. After three weeks, the seeds begin to germinate (in the fridge!).
