Primrose propagation

I've just found one tiny solitary primrose in our garden that has the most amazing violet colour and I need a way of propagating it so it "comes true". Every other primrose in the garden seems to have "defaulted" to yellow or pink and I'm desperate to keep this gorgeous specimen.
It is too small to do root cuttings or divide - can it be done via leaf cuttings and if so how? I cannot seem to find any definitive on the Web.
