2nd ID for today!

Could this be valerian? I looked them up and all seem to be green not the copper brown.  I found the pot abandoned in my invisable pile behind the greenhouse and my cat went diddly bonkers and tried to dig it out and eat it!  No idea where it came from. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps Angelica atropurpurea (what would explain the copperish tint...).
  • I just looked it up, hope it is as its so beautiful.  Just couldn't understand my normally laid back cat being so mental for a while!

Maybe he/she's just full of the Joys of Spring?  ;)

It might be valerian, because I read the cats get stoned with their roots!
