Poor plant - it's now putting on new growth but the new leaves are yellow too. I'm worried that as Bob suggested the drainage holes might be blocked - but if they are, how on earth do I remedy it? Is the only solution to take the plant out? If so, any tips on making that less of a nightmare than it sounds?
  • Hi. I had this exact same problem last year. I thought it was drainage problems but i has just reported it and it wasn’t that. The leaves were yellow and veiny and slightly twisted up. After much internet searching I came across an article saying that trachelospermum appreciates a dose of sequestrine so I have that a go (even though the RHS website says they like neutral/alkaline soil). And it’s worked a treat. Fresh dark green growth and it looks fantastic - try it! We live in an area with very hard water so if it’s sensitive to pH then I guess that’s what’s done it. Try it!

I think I might - it's picked up, and there's lots of new growth, but it's all still quite pale. It's definitely not a drainage issue.
