Looking for a particular dahlia

RubyLeafRubyLeaf Posts: 260
Sadly I lost the picture, but here goes: It was a pom pom Dahlia with the smallest heads you've ever seen, like not even as big as your little finger. I know it comes in a red, and grows possibly 90cm?

Would be grateful if someone knows this type!

Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

Those sites didn't seem to have any of the miniature ones. I found the white (white treasure) and yellow names. But they seem very obscure.

I would imagine that if you can't find it on Google Images, it would be very hard to track down.

There is a National Collection of Dahlias at Longrock, Penzance in Cornwall ... if you google you'll get their website and phone number. I should think they're your best bet ... good luck  :)

RubyLeaf...please can you tell us if this Dahlia was one you actually grew or was it maybe one you saw in a picture?

You say it wasn't even  the size of your little finger.
Is this the width or length of your little finger.
Was the flower 1 cm across or 6cm?

Guess there aren't dahlias that small, couldn't it be a red Craspedia?

I saw it at a National Trust place. I'd say the flower couldn't of been more than 3 and a half cm across

Maybe email the National Trust place and describe it to them.
