My favourite primula for our garden, so much we had some plugs delivered last August planted them into a cell tray growing on really strong then disappeared underground as they do, waiting and watching  everyday. I did contact the supplier they replied saying as we know It has not moved on yet i.e the weather but that are guaranteed ! So fingers crossed .

Viallii Alison Holland in Litre pots are peeping through now and our Red variety are just started too perform so we are topping and feeding all the others we have, the new ones Are growing not many though ! But hey there's still time . My supplier has told me They are " guaranteed" so that's good. If our soil was not clay they would be a pretty sight to look forward too .  They look just as nice in my garden and I can move them around to where I please

I kept mine in a cold greenhouse over the winter and they're poking up nicely now. Time to refresh the top dressing and get them hardened off I think.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • If it's any consolation Ryan our primula vivaldi and others have only just started up a few days ago - and we live in tropical Guernsey! However they do not thrive here in our garden - so after a year or two they give up the ghost on us.
