Thanks for everyones advice grately appreciated. My poor garden needs a whole lot of work I trapped a nerve in my neck which affected my right shoulder/arm and hand. Now I’am imrpoving can get back into it. Well once the weather improves.

Ouch! Take it steady Wendy ... I've had that problem ... I have to be careful what I do even now, a year later. Good luck with the garden

If you plant in the area again, I'd say to go out and watch the area every day to observe what happens with good compost and a bit of watering.
