It is not a weed, it is a stonecrop (Sedum), but I can't say which.

I think it may be a Saxifrage

    In the sticks near Peterborough

It didn't look like a sedum, the leaves aren't thick and waxy and the ground was muddy and wet so not ideal conditions for it.

It was growing on a bank near a stream, the whole bank was covered in it. I really like it!

I think nut has it - Chrysosplenium oppositifolium (Opposite-leaved Golden Saxifrage.)

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Brilliant, you've just done one my queries! OH and I have just come back from a mooch around the garden, and we saw this, in a boggy bed by the stream, and were wondering what it was!
