    I reckon Saturday Kitchen Live sometimes comes up to the standard of TISWAS but not often.  Still like it tho.

    The title of this thread had me confused 😵  When I hear the phrase "spitting feathers", to me it means your really thirsty and gagging for a drink 😆.

    I hope not! 
    I’m young and just started gardening. I watch this show religiously now and my friends all take the mickey. I just started so to stop it now I’d be gutted!

    Let the BBC know then! I suspect they have most garden-program watchers tagged as "not in the first flush of youth".

    Maybe it's a regional thing?  I'd never heard it used in that context.
