I pruned our very large Photinia last September which was clearly the wrong thing to do. All the new shoots have died and it’s looking pretty bad. I don’t know whether to remove it completely or attempt to revive it. Any suggestions greatly appreciat
That'll be frost damage. I agree with LB4 - wait a few weeks for signs of new growth below the damage and then prune back to the new buds but not on a day when more frost is expected.
