I'm finding Mexican fleabane (erigiron) quite hard to get going. I have it successively in pots but it doesn't want to seed on the path or flags next to them. I've planted out little plugs and seeds into the paving, but have had no luck yet.

I've been stuffing bits of creeping sedum in to green up the gaps between my driveway flags. I just pull long bits off the potted 'mother' plant.

There's also a patch of self seeded campanula (the low growing one) that looks pretty when it flowers, and doesn't seem to mind being stepped on.

I like the cushiony type moss too, but it can dry out in the summer.

Acaenas flowers look like sea urchins. Have not come across these or Campanulas. Both look v. attractive. Attaching a picture that I just came across from crocus website, that shows both Campanula portenschlagiana (purple) and Erigeron karvinskianus side by side.
Beautiful, I believe it is campanula poscharskyana, it has a much better trailing habit at getting in the cracks  both are all over Devon & Cornwall

    Sedum might be fine.
