***** super fast BT fibre optic. 60 Mbps. But photos on the gallery thread is still v slow to load, band by band.  I get a good deal from BT by threatening to leave, every six months. Speed is fine, customer service execrable.

With Talktalk - currently 7.0mbps and 0.9mbps. Had lots of issues over the last 2 months with line problems - having previously had no problems at all since starting to use broadband umpteen canteen years ago.

Vodafone fibre optic for me. 21 Mbps download speed on my phone and only costs £20 per month. For what I consider to be "normal" use (a bit of browsing and streaming) this is more than adequate.

BT. Just ran speedtest and have 52 Mbps download and 9.6 Mbps upload.  Dangerous to say, but no problems whatsoever since it was installed just before Christmas.  It does everything I want of it.  I've rated it 4 because I know there is much faster out there.

I have French Orange, Dordogne. I get stripes and give up. I've been told there isn't another suitable supplier. We are in the middle of a forest. But in our Norfolk cottage it's Vodafone and quite fast, don't know how fast, but much better than here.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

  • I'm on Plusnet Unlimited - 17Mbps - not sure where that fits on the star scale but no complaints.
