New life for a neglected 'rockery'.

  • More good ideas - especially as I do want to keep the rockery theme going. Will be looking for cyclamen and smaller forms of the perennials. Any advice on miniature spring bulbs ?

Spring bulbs - tete a tete daffs - they seem to be completely indestructible even with the awful weather we've been having. I've got a few 'jetfire' ones as well, they are coming out later but seem to be happy. Muscari - there are some lovely cultivars but beware the 'species' form, it spreads everywhere. Chionodoxa seem happy in partial shade. If you don't have squirrels or mice in your garden, crocus - and autumn crocus too.

Sounds lovely. Try dwarf reticular irises like "Harmony" or "Joyce".

I like the little irises too, but I found them to be slug food and had to give up on them, at least in my previous garden.
