  Euphorbia characias subsp.'wulfenii' ; what a beauty !
  This is the time now for removing straggly and untidy stems ; leave plenty at the bottom for this year , and mind the sap!!

  Yes, make sure you wear gloves and don't rub your eyes ! There was someone on the forum who made that mistake and it was very painful apparently.

  Absolutely ; did it myself once , the latex like sap had dried on my fingers , didn't realise , rubbed my eyes (am allergic to grass pollen) ; believe me I will never do that again .
