Cut the grass?

A few dry days, no frost forecast for a while, garden looks a mess,   undergardener primed and ready- window of opportunity to cut the grass before the spring bulbs go over?

In London. Keen but lazy.

    If it stays dry tonight I will be cutting mine tomorrow. First cut of the year so I will only be on the highest setting but it is a mess and desperately needs a cut and feed.

    Think mine may be cut sometime in the next couple of weeks but rain is forecast here for the next week I think.

    In theory you can cut the grass almost throughout the year, regardless of whether it's wet or dry. (Dry grass is better for the lawnmower).

    I would be more concerned about how dry the ground is, i.e. if it's too soft the wheels could damage the lawn or create lumps and bumps. And as others said, avoid cutting before a frost.

    I last cut mine in January and expect to give it another trim in the next week or so.

    Just been out to look at the lawn and it is very wet. Might do more harm than good trying to cut it today so maybe I will wash the greenhouse instead😀

    Ground is so wet where I live and prone to late frosts, so I never cut the grass until April.
    It then thickens up quite nicely and moss-related problems are avoided.

    I cut mine earlier this week as we had two dry sunny days that dried it out from squelchy to soft. The trouble is that we have patches of very long 9inch tufts where the dog regularly wees so it looked really scruffy. It looks tidier now though there are pale patches where those tufts were. I'm glad I did it as we have had rain each day since, and more forecast for every day for the next week as well. As we are on clay it holds the moisture, so I have to literally 'make hay while the sun shines'!

    Mine will get it's first haircut of the season tomorrow provided it stays dry between now and then.
