Climber on curved fence

Hi everyone I am currently planning to plant a climber (clematis, passion flower) to grow up one of my fences. I've researched support systems and think a wire system will be best. Where I am getting a little confused is that the fence I want to install this on is curved, with half brick and half fence. 

Can anyone provide help on the best way to achieve this and if wire or a wooden/metal support system would be better?

    Perhaps I am misunderstanding this but can you not just 'tack' the wire down at 1 foot intervals or whatever interval suitable?

    I would consider buying a sheet of metal mesh for reinforcing concrete.  It comes in various gauges of wire and grid size and you can then attach each end to a fence post, curving the mesh to follow the fence and wall in between.   Much stronger than attaching wires to the actual fence panel.
