SHELLEY MCNAUGHT

Shelley20Shelley20 Posts: 36
I have this under my front window. I have never touched it and now the leaves are off it looks like it need trimmed! Does it just look worse because there are no leaves? If it needs pruning how to I do it? There are little bits everywhere!
I don’t have a lot of gardening experience! Got new house with nice garden last year and left it a year to see what popped up so this year is my first official gardening year!

I usually wait until there's a few leaves and then cut out the dead bits - there's bound to be some. If you're not sure, scrape the bark with a fingernail. If it's green underneath,it's alive.
Prune off anything that's growing in the wrong direction e.g. if you want it flat against the wall, prune off anything that's sticking out or going past the window sill
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Shelley, it looks a little like a Catoneaster ( horizontalis?) to me.
Yeah I think you’re right, I googled it and it’s looks the same, thank you :)

Thanks everyone, I think because this is the first time I’ve noticed it without leaves it looks a bit mental lol.
