Can any of you lovely people tell me what this is? It says ivy on the pot, but I'm not convinced

It might well be a type of ivy, but maybe Vinca Minor?

I think it's an ivy ... of some sort ... there's loads of 'em.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I'd say it's an Ivy. There are hundreds of cultivars with different leaf shapes.

I'm in the ivy camp. I'm pretty sure vinca has pairs of leaves opposite, these are alternating.

I believe this to be Vinca..probably Vinca minor.
Vinca leaves are opposite.

I think it’s Devils Ivy, an indoor plant, if you look at the top right corner of the OP picture you can see several leaves growing out of one node, characteristic of ivy, not Vinca.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
