Once my 3 got going they flowered beautifully, but now they seem to be fizzling out. Don't know how long the plants last or if you have to do anything to them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Eremurus originate from E.Europe and Asia where they grow on stony and almost barren mountain slopes . Very hot in Summer , but freezing and dry in Winter ; a typical mid-continental climate , very difficult to emulate in our fickle conditions with no distinct cold or hot 'seasons'.  Temperatures here would not normally bother them, but the combination of cold and damp during Winter can, and often leads to their demise .
Someone near us used to grow them against a south wall , on a raised gravel bed and they flowered profusely every year . They were left purely to the whims of natural climatic conditions , never watered artificially or fed . If the rain caught them in Summer , good and well ; if it didn't they'd wait for a change in wind direction . Perfect drainage is essential though . Stunning when in flower .

They look healthy. My foxtail lilies didn't flower last year, though I hope they will this year.
