I LOVE yellow. We're having our house repainted this year with Farrow and Ball "yellow ground"
    Devon.

The only yellow flowers I have in the garden, apart from swathes of daffs, is Heleniums, for hot colours late in the year. I’m not keen either but the daffs are so cheerful when there’s nothing else after the winter, or during it this year😀
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

I never used to be a fan of yellow but it's handy for contrast. Orange is my new favourite.

I’m not a fan of yellow either! There are quite a few white daffs! Just going back to bulbs- what is your soil like? If it’s sticky clay they might be getting too wet over winter and rotting off? Just a thought.. mine have only just put their noses out of the ground in the last week or two and don’t seem to be trying very hard! My tulips are way ahead of them!
  • Maybe the bulbs weren't planted deep enough. Love yellow specially if planted with oranges and reds
A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.
