Diervillas are normally pruned immediately after flowering . I used to have this species but found it very invasive by means of underground suckers . After extracting it from around and between other plants , enough was enough and I got rid altogether . Apologies for being negative here !
I ha e a Flamingo tree and its a year since planted its been fine all winter had some gollliage but since the snow and tettible weather minus temperatures all the little beanches look dead Shoulld I prune or wait to see if it recovers Maybe if I leave it until April may recover Worriied as no shoots visable

Thank you for advise, mine has been in the ground for a couple of years but has never spread or suckered perhaps this depends on variety.
