I have a load of hops that I want to move what's the best way to lift these? What am I looking for? Or rather, will the rhizomes be obvious and easy to dig out?
The roots look like bindweed so you can't miss them... they go all over the place, though. I had to get rid of my golden hop because it delighted in popping up in the middle of shrubs etc.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I'm a bit confused as to which root is what, I think I have a big apple tap root, that must have crawled along the ground, it looked to have sprouted hops. But as you say I think they have just intermingled. How fat can the rhizomes get? Or do they look like spiders with runners?
