Now flowering in the Netherlands in a park, possibly in boggy surroundings, but not quite sure.

    I think it may be of the garlic family - found in woodlands. Is it like this?

    that is a Petasites but not in the garlic family.

    both None of the garlic family have those broad leaves/bracts around the flowers

    So mine is a Petasites as well? Interesting! To be quite honest, I never took much notice of what the walk leader was saying by that time as it was at the end of a very long walk in the woods and I was desperate to go home!!
