PLEASE HELP IDENTIFYING THIS LOVELY LITTLE FLOWER

It has just appeared in my garden.  It is purple with a yellow centre about 7cm high, it may have grown from a bulb, but I have no idea what it is.   Many thanks.

It's an Anenome blanda - lovely things. :)
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thank you so much BobTheGardener.  I am relatively new to gardening and have a lovely cottage garden. I have been setting up a database with all the plants in my garden, so I will probably need more help in the future identifying plants as they appear.
