Frogspawn

Frogs have started laying their spawn in the pond at our Community Allotment before we had the chance to remove the netting. Now we’re not sure what to do - should we leave the netting in place? But will the frogs or the tadpoles get stuck in it? We would hate to harm or lose them but the netting is quite near the surface. I’d be grateful for advice.

Obviously the frogs have got into the pond while the netting was there ... I imagine they'll find their way out ok too ... and in the meantime the netting may protect the spawn, tadpoles and froglets from the predations of birds ... sounds as if it's ok.

Could you post a photo and then we'd have a better idea whether there are likely to be problems?
