Succulent advice please

I have been looking after my daughters plants whilst she is away at university. This succulent seems to have developed a problem. Can anyone tell me what it is and if it can be treated? It doesn’t seem happy, could I plant it up outside? Many thanks

    The lower leaves browning is natural - just gently pull them away. Does she have a cat or a kitten? That might explain the marks on the other leaves. Or is there any sign of mites or aphids?

    No mites or aphids obvious, no pets that can access her room. Totally flummoxed!
