second time flowering orchid ready to be pruned, where would I prune? do I take it right back to the base or from one of the shoots..

There is usually a node, a knobbly bit on the stem, where a new shoot will come from. If you cannot see one, take the old flowers off, but only to where the zig zagging flowered bit stops.
