Worrying idea

I read in the paper the other day that they are considering scraping gardeners world, I can't believe they would even mention such a thing, the program is educational and relaxing to watch, I can think of a lot of programs to go before touching good programs.

The news media just enjoy worrying people ..... I ignore them ........... they'll think of something else before long  :*

It's probably true.  GW is mainly watched by 'wrinklies' so isn't the demographic that the bright young things at the Beeb are now targeting.

Mr Google has revealed that this is a scare being promulgated by the Daily Mail.  >:)

I make it a rule of thumb to believe the absolute opposite of almost everything in the Daily Mail ... it's a strategy that has proved right in the majority of cases.

The thing is, many wrinklies have more disposable income than the yunguns.
Maybe one day the programme planners and advertisers will realise that we're not all interested in funeral plans - even if we get a free Parker pen.

I disagree that gardeners world is mainly watched by old folk, I myself am in my forties so not old and even younger people are into gardening.

I mean they always shelve us for the sport and whatever else.. but apparently viewing figures for GW are very high.

Some of us dream of all sport being on one dedicated channel then we can ignore it forever.  ;)

It's just the Daily Mail carrying on its campaign to destroy the BBC ..... ignore them.

Yes, I saw a screenshot of the 'article'. There was a headline about axing GW, which was then not mentioned once in the text. At that point I realised it was from the Daily Hate so knew to pay it no more attention.
