At the moment @pansyface is still showing as a forum member, albeit as someone with a private profile . I believe when people leave their posts are deleted or their name is shown as "Deleted User" ?
I looked at this thread because there seemed to be a lot of activity on it. I don't partake of any contentious threads nowadays, as I don't want my blood pressure raised, but whatever has happened @pansyface, please don't be too hasty about leaving. I've often felt like it, especially when I'm not feeling at my best, but I'm glad the previous incumbent ignored my request to close down my account a few years ago. So many people would miss you very, very much xxx
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I've only been on the site 14 months, and two members in that time upset me to the point of being determined to leave.
I now block them, so as not to see their input.
I know your reason is different, but we all learn new things at different stages of our lives. Patience, determination and forgiveness are but three of them.
If you really want to talk politics, join a political group, but please don't deny the rest of us your expertise.
@pansyface, please keep your account here. Take a short break. See how you feel in a month. I've found, down the yrs, there are often difficulties over various forum rules. But things settle down and life carries on.
And leaving friends behind is not as easy as you think. 😉 I left a forum I had been a member of for over 15 yrs last summer. I felt really bad going ... and left some people feeling very upset I'd gone.

We could join in occasionally so you don't look like a Billy-no-mates! 😉
