I planted 3 Russian vines last year to cover a chicken encloser only 1 survived and I treated them all the same i thought these grew no matter what.
One will be enough ......... I promise you ......... one will be more than enough.
I know one Russian vine that covers a large pear tree, a large garden shed, a garage and a farmhouse .......... all one vine ..... really!

Thank you very much.
be careful what you wish for.
Some eejit decided it'd be a good idea to plant one growing through a conifer hedge.
I've been trying to get rid of it since we moved here 6 years ago.
Oh I had better be grateful that just the one grew then.
Hi I bought the 3 online cost me about £25 so I suppose they weren't established plants. I also bought 3 Wisteria plants online and none of them took all died, so am thinking of giving up buying plants online. Thank you for your reply.

Supposed to have said Wisteria .
They certainly don't want mine I put mine in my field against a large chicken run I think it must be the strong winds that blow across.
Never heard about this plant, thanks for sharing your experience

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
