Geranium palmatum 'Maderense' ??
I acquired a couple of the above last week from a client who had grown them herself from seed .
Only borderline hardiness apparently so am storing in the greenhouse until more suitable weather arrives .
Does anyone know if Geranium palmatum and G.maderense are two distinct species ; or is 'Maderense' just a subspecies/form of G.palmatum ?
Your answers will be most welcome and helpful ! Thanks .

2 different species
G maderense is bigger, much more impressive but not hardy.
G. palmatum very often survives for several years here.
In the sticks near Peterborough

Thanks for your response ; has clarified it for me . She's had hers outdoors for a couple of winters now , so presume it's G. palmatum , thanks again .
